Elevator pitch: Super Teams is all about helping startup leaders create and scale a high performing team. To achieve good growth … where teams enjoy what they do, deliver great work and the business is set up to thrive.
Focus for today was getting stuff done (less planning, more doing).
I WILL keep it front of mind.
I’m living by the maxim that if I didn’t put it out into the world then it may as well never have happened. You’ve heard the one about the tree in the forest, right?!
But down to business.
Things that got done (for the first update I’ll cover a few day’s worth; future updates will focus on just that day):
Committed to externalise my thoughts and ideas. It’s partly to hold myself to account but also to help me prioritise what I’m doing and make daily progress.
Bought the superteams.co domain (surprised but delighted it was available).
Set up a Medium publication to cross post to.
Connected with some cool people who inspire me and who I hope to be able to give back to in future (check out Mark Grimes - 31 startups in 31 days - if he doesn’t motivate you to ship stuff then no-one will).
Shortlisted 3 monetisation ideas to make happen (more on these in the coming days). I’m working to the deadline of 90 days to turn cashflow positive on each idea. Thanks Mark for seeding this!
Did a deep dive on The Hustle latest trends. So many cool stories and useful data. Check the latest here.
And a few thoughts / ideas to follow up on:
Signed up to Notion. Why? Sounds cool, like the sound of integrating workspaces - publishable option, good for collaboration. Just need to get up to speed with how to make best use of it. Will learn by doing!
Came across Doc Williams’ YouTube channel. Looks like some great content. Have bookmarked to watch. Am particularly looking forward to watching How to Create a Profitable Newsletter.
Super Teams is all about helping startups build and grow high performing teams. I’ve got a few smarts and am committed to doing the heavy lifting sourcing great content. My value-add will be to make this content actionable. Will also need to network like crazy with experts, thought leaders and people who’ve built their own high performing teams. If that sounds like you or anyone you know reach out, I’d love to connect.
And one for luck:
P.S. Full Disclosure - While I’m posting to hold myself to account I hope these posts will also create a bit of interest and intrigue. The success of Super Teams needs a community of supporters. I’ll be switching things up and sharing plenty about high performance very soon. If this floats your boat then I’d love it if you’d subscribe for updates.
P.P.S. And if you think it would reflect well on you, tell your friends!
Thanks, I truly appreciate your time reading this far.
